Today 6/4/15, clouds were low at 1600. We decided on closed traffic training.
During the pattern work I was landing flat ( all three wheels touching ground at the same time),using more rudder then ailerons during final (not good), speed was a little high and landings were a little hard and off center.
I was using too much back pressure when flaring. Tom pointed out I should be pulling with my arm rather than my fingers. I realized it did not take much pressure to pull back and allow the plane to gradually loose speed and land nicely. Tom also explained that I seemed to be rushing to put the plane on the ground.
I will continue to work on improving my landings although there is no such thing of a perfect landing. I figured it does not hurt to strive for one.
