A Different View from the Left Seat

I took my first training flight today. It’s quite a different view from the left seat. You can actually see the instruments! That is, without all the parallax issues involve.

I went up with Tom Fischer from Caldwell Airport (CDW). We did some turns, climbs and descents, and got a feeling for the controls and power settings.

We took-off and landed on 28. Flew around Northwest of the field and tried to avoid the snowy clouds. There’s nothing to it.

That’s 0.6 hours in the logbook down… many more to go.

Airman Medical Certificate

I got my Airman Medical Certificate and Student Pilot Certificate today. Healthy as an ox… and not one of those sickly and particularly anemic looking oxen.

The medical certificate is on one side and the student pilot certificate is on the other. I went to Dr. Nadler in Parsippany, NJ to get it. Give him a call if you need one: 973-335-1177

So this is the first step to getting my private pilot’s certificate. It should be an adventure! I’m looking forward to the first lesson next week!
